Hannah Kehn is a school designer and leader with over twenty years of diverse experience facilitating transformative work in K-12 public schools and organizations. She has a track record of collaborating with others to turn vision into reality. She has served in roles including implementation coordinator, principal (including a founding principal for seven years), and educational consultant. She has presented authentic work at the White House and facilitated workshops at conferences nationally including at the Deeper Learning Conference at High Tech High in San Diego and at the Center for Leadership and Educational Equity’s “Fall Forum”.
She began her teaching career at White Dove Junior Secondary School in Ghana and at The Ronald Edmonds Learning Center (M.S. 113) in Brooklyn, NY.
Hannah is passionate about asking school communities the question - What are we creating today that is unique, necessary, and something we are proud of? Hannah's belief in the power of "artivism" originates in part from her own story as a young person, but artivism has also served as a catalyzing force in many of the democratic learning environments she has experienced. In 2024, she was honored to write about this in the chapter called "
Let the Light In" published by Palgrave Macmillan, Building Democratic Schools and Learning Environments: A Global Perspective.
Hannah holds Master's degrees from Pace University (teaching) and The Harvard Graduate School of Education (school leadership).
